Ideal candidates have 4+ years of Level 1 trauma OR experience, active New Jersey RN license, and scrub/circulate experience.

Required Qualifications – Operating Room RN / Surgical RN
  • Minimum 4 years of Level 1 trauma operating room experience (scrub and circulate)
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • BLS and NIHSS certifications required
  • BSN preferred (perioperative or surgical nursing background a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail for patient safety, infection control, and quality monitoring
  • Excellent organizational skills for coordinating care across the OR and perioperative team
  • Ability to be flexible to meet department needs; no consecutive days/weeks off during assignment
Operating Room Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, maintaining safety and quality standards for surgical patients
  • Function as scrub nurse and circulating nurse during a wide variety of trauma and surgical procedures
  • Coordinate perioperative care with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
  • Monitor and accurately document patient progress, surgical counts, and post-op outcomes
  • Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekend shifts as required
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and perioperative best practices
