Job description

National Retail Solutions (NRS) builds technology that helps small businesses thrive. We provide point of sale systems, payments, ecommerce, loyalty, and other tools that empower independent retailers nationwide. We are looking for a driven Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of our restaurant point of sales offering.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a highly strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to lead the evolution of our next-generation Restaurant POS platform. In this role, you’ll own product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and delivery for a modern SaaS solution built specifically for independent and mid-sized restaurant operators.

You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, go-to-market teams, and executive leadership to create intuitive, scalable products that solve real operational challenges for restaurant owners and staff.

This is an opportunity to build meaningful products from the ground up in a fast-moving environment where customer empathy, speed, and product quality matter.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the full product lifecycle—from customer discovery and strategy through launch, adoption, and continuous iteration.
  • Spend significant time with restaurant owners, operators, managers, and staff to deeply understand workflows, operational pain points, and unmet needs.
  • Define product strategy, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications that translate complex operational workflows into simple, intuitive experiences.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, scalable features with speed and precision.
  • Drive roadmap prioritization using customer insights, market trends, product analytics, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, onboarding, and support teams to ensure strong product-market fit and successful product adoption.
  • Analyze competitive offerings and emerging industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics, using data to improve product performance and customer outcomes continuously.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the Restaurant POS platform and advocate for the voice of the customer across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience building and scaling SaaS products.
  • Strong experience building products for SMB or consumer-oriented users, with a deep appreciation for usability and operational simplicity.
  • Exceptional product discovery, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows into elegant, intuitive user experiences.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment with high ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work hybrid from our Newark office three days per week.
Bonus
  • Experience working at a POS company, restaurant technology provider, or within restaurant operations.
  • Familiarity with ordering, payments, kiosks, kitchen workflows, loyalty, or other hospitality technology ecosystems.
Why join us
  • Build a major new product line with meaningful ownership and influence from day one.
  • Help shape technology that empowers independent restaurant operators and small businesses.
  • Join a collaborative, execution-focused team that values speed, customer empathy, and product excellence.
  • Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and significant opportunities for growth and impact.
