Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027

Where will you work: Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is a conventional potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It's split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines in the world. A Process Engineer Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will be assigned to special projects and will assist other engineers on major projects andday-to-day troubleshooting to optimize mill performance. What you'll do:

Day-to-day work assignments could include fieldwork, e.g. data analysis, report writing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

Projects will be assigned by the supervisor and could include:

  • Troubleshooting to identify root causes of problems

  • Metric reporting and process optimization

  • Projects to optimize process controls

  • Mass and energy balances for various types of chemical processes

  • Communication/operator training for project implementation

  • Assist Turnaround and Repair Day equipment inspections as required

  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), lab personnel, and contractors

  • Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment

  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, orworkis preferred.

  • Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

  • Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

  • Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

  • Basic computer skills are required

  • Experience working in a team environment is a must

  • Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
