As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Union) in the yard/shop at Lunda Construction, reporting to the Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks

  • Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards

  • Repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, suspension, and drivetrains

  • Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes, and hoists

  • Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck and work area

  • Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies

Requirements

  • Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience

  • One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment
