Production Set Up Technician – 1st Shift $23-$32/hr
Sunlite Plastics – Germantown, WI

Sunlite Plastics, a division of Diversatek, Inc., has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Setup Technician in our Medical Tubing Division in Germantown, WI. We are a plastics extrusion company that provides custom tubing to medical markets.

This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of plastic extrusion machines. Prefer 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience in plastic extrusion, but will train individuals with similar experience.

Hourly rate is $23-$32 based on relative experience

1st shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Setup, adjust, and troubleshoot plastic extrusion lines
  • Follow work instructions, job packets, and drawings
  • Diagnose and remedy operation and tooling complications
  • Cleanout machine and prepare for material change
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize production efficiency, to execute schedules, and to allow for uninterrupted set-ups
  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections
  • Act as a backup Operator
  • Assist with training and development of Operators
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Maintain proper documentation through accurate records of production process and machine settings

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Production Setup Technician 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • High school or equivalent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
