Job description

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Maryland

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with a minimum of 3 years of experience to provide exceptional patient care in a Level II Trauma center. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in general OR cases, along with proficiency in robotic surgery, including DaVinci systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the operating room.
  • Assist in scrubbing and circulating during various surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient vitals throughout surgical operations.
  • Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure effective patient management before, during, and after surgery.
  • Participate in on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • 3 years of OR experience required; 2 years may be considered with strong relevant experience.
  • Experience with Epic EMR is mandatory.
  • Robotics experience, specifically with DaVinci systems, is required.
