Job description

Diet Aide

Under the direct supervision of the Food & Nutrition Services Director, Supervisor, or Lead, the Diet Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties. Obtains necessary information from the Cerner diet report and CBORD such as diet orders, supplement orders, and allergies to provide patients with adequate nutrition. Obtains menu preferences and meal orders in CBORD software. Prepares all food items and patient meal trays accurately based on therapeutic diet order and approved recipes. Delivers patient meals to all patient care units. Returns all carts to kitchen dish room at designated times.
