Job description

Role: Open Source Software Engineer

Duration: 1 yearย with possible extension.

Location: Lansing, MI 48933 โ€“ Hybrid ย (2day/Week Monday and Tuesday)

ย 

Local candidates only

Prior state experience is preferred

Must Have:ย 

Must have verifiable experience with Red Hat OpenShift container platform and familiarity with Kubernetes. Experience with application deployment within containers. (3+ years)

3+ years of experience installing and supporting Apache Kafka.ย 

4+ years of experience installing and configuring open-source SQL databases such as Presto DB or PostgreSQL. Experience troubleshooting database connections, performing back-ups, and developing basic queries.

2+ years of experience working with web-based applications, consuming APIs, and writing scripts to validate data.

Nice to have: Familiarity with shell scripting and crontab
