In-House Security Officer

Title: In-House Security Officer

Department: Security

Reports to: Director, Security

Status: Part-Time, Seasonal, Union

Pay Rate: $22.44-26.39

*Compensation rates vary based on job-related factors, including experience, job skills, education, and training.

In-House Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Los Angeles Dodgers assets, employees and guests. In House Officers shall conduct themselves in an exemplary manner, while remaining courteous and professional. The In-House Officer works all baseball home-games and selected special events.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests attending all stadium events
  • Conduct visual/physical screening of guests and their belongings
  • Perform pre-game, in-game and post-game duties
  • Verify credentials of anyone requesting entry into restricted areas
  • Provide assistance to guests with special needs
  • Maintain a visible presence and monitor assigned sections
  • Guide guests to exits or provide other assistance/instructions in case of an emergency
  • Monitor alcoholic beverage activities, recognizing and reporting illegal and improper behavior and reporting it according to policy and procedure
  • Assist with crowd management efforts
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess current and valid California Guard Card
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, with a verifiable satisfactory driving record
  • Must be able to provide courteous, polite and respectful service to all guests and employees
  • Able to adapt to changes in task assignment
  • Ability to exhibit maturity by making legal, ethical and sound decisions
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills when dealing with people
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and crisis without a loss of composure
  • Ability to adhere to department standards pertaining to attendance, performance and conduct
  • Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Able to work in an outdoor, open-air stadium in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Bilingual skill is preferred
