Job description

Our family practice is looking for a self-motivated, experienced Dental Hygienist to join our amazing team. Our hygienist has a very important role in the success of our practice. Qualified candidates must have previous dental experience and be knowledgeable in all phases of general dentistry. The typical patient volume ranges from 5-10 patients per day, and the position involves working under direct supervision as well as independently, using Open Dental software for patient management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient oral health and medical history
  • Perform teeth cleaning and scaling procedures
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Prepare and take dental X-rays
  • Maintain accurate dental charting and patient records
  • Implement infection control and sterilization procedures
  • Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning
  • Manage patient records using Open Dental software
