Lead Dental Assistant II (DAII) โ€“ Axiom Dentistry | Clayton, NC

Axiom Dentistry in Clayton is seeking an experienced Lead Dental Assistant II to support our doctor and help ensure smooth, efficient patient care. This role is ideal for someone confident, dependable, and skilled in advanced chairside assisting.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:
  • Prior DAII chairside experience.ย 
  • Clinically confident and able to work independently.
  • Observant and communicative with the doctor.
  • Loyal, trustworthy, and patient-focused.
  • Open to feedback.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist chairside for all procedures, including crown/bridge, oral surgery, and endo.
  • Prep/sterilize rooms and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control.
  • Take and record patient medical histories.
  • Perform lab tasks (models, temporaries, guards, etc.) and manage lab cases.
  • Provide post-op instructions and patient education.
  • Help schedule follow-ups and deliver clear handoffs to admin team.
  • Complete post-op calls for advanced procedures.
  • Participate in daily huddles and help keep clinical operations organized.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • NC X-ray certification.
  • DAII experience required.
  • Current CPR certification.
