River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Full Time Deli Clerk!
Experience-based pay ranging from: $18.27 - $19.58 per hour
Approximately 32-40 hours/week
Must have availability to work evenings and weekends. Candidates without availability to work evenings and weekends will not be considered.
Work for a community-owned grocery store in downtown Stillwater and help support a sustainable local food system. As a cornerstone of locally and naturally produced foods for more than 45 years, River Market Community Co-op knows outstanding customer service is vital to the long-term success of the store.

Union position
Reports to: Deli Manager
  • Greet and assist customers with placing and picking up orders.
  • Prepare and execute daily production list.
  • Assist with sanitizing and cleaning between customers.
  • Follow all directions accurately and in accordance with established production guidelines.
  • Work in an open, forward-facing kitchen.

Requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must have weekend and evening availability
  • Must be 18 years old to operate the slicer machine
  • Performs basic arithmetic including counting, addition and subtraction
  • Preferred experience in food service like deli, catering, restaurant
  • Preferred experience serving customers

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.
Constant (67-100%): Walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception
Frequent (34-66%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/reaching waist to shoulder, lifting/reaching above the shoulder
Occasional (1-33%): Working in refrigeration, pushing, pulling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist
