Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and looking for an opportunity to grow your manufacturing skills? We're seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll support cardboard box machine operators by assisting with machine setups, product changeovers, measurements, material handling, and quality inspections to help keep production running efficiently.
The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately use a tape measure.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Machine Setups & Changeovers: Assist machine operators with product changeovers, machine setups, and equipment adjustments.
  • Measurements & Quality Checks: Use tape measures and other measuring tools to verify product specifications and inspect finished products for quality.
  • Material Handling: Load materials into the production process and remove finished products as needed.
  • Production Support: Work alongside machine operators to help keep cardboard box production equipment running efficiently.
  • Minor Machine Adjustments: Assist with basic equipment adjustments and communicate machine or production issues to the operator.
  • Follow Work Instructions: Follow established work instructions and production requirements to ensure products are manufactured correctly.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following established safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine setups and changeovers.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and production requirements.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work overtime before the scheduled shift as required.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changes in work hours based on business needs.
Skills
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable learning machine setups, product changeovers, and basic equipment adjustments.
  • Measuring Skills: Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools to verify product specifications.
