Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Ontario, CA | Onsite | Full-Time

Position Overview

Crown Innovations is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Ontario, California warehouse supporting FAA modernization and national infrastructure programs. This role is responsible for leading warehouse personnel, managing inventory operations, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, issued, and shipped in support of production schedules.

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will play a critical leadership role in maintaining operational excellence by driving inventory accuracy, ensuring workplace safety, developing efficient warehouse processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will partner closely with Manufacturing, Rack Fabrication, Procurement, Program Management, Finance, and the Head of Talent Acquisition to ensure warehouse operations remain organized, compliant, and scalable as the organization continues to grow.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, mentoring employees, solving operational challenges, and building a highly efficient warehouse operation focused on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and material handling.
  • Direct warehouse personnel while establishing daily priorities and ensuring production schedules are supported.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure materials are properly received, inspected, stored, and distributed.
  • Develop efficient warehouse layouts that maximize storage capacity and workflow.
  • Support rack fabrication operations by ensuring timely availability of materials and assemblies.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, LTL freight providers, and other logistics partners.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records utilizing the company's inventory management system.
  • Ensure compliance with First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices.
  • Lead cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP).
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively coordinate replenishment activities.
  • Ensure finished assemblies are properly barcoded and entered into inventory.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, safety, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
  • Recommend automation, technology improvements, and process enhancements.

Shipping & Logistics

  • Coordinate domestic shipments while ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and maintain shipment records.
  • Track inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies and transportation issues.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and government shipping requirements.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety throughout warehouse operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies.
  • Maintain forklift certifications and safe equipment operation.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality standards and government property requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience leading warehouse operations supporting manufacturing, construction, aviation, government contracting, or related industries.
  • Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory management software.
  • Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics operations.
  • Experience conducting cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Forklift and pallet jack operating experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
  •  Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Government contracting experience.
  • FAA, aerospace, manufacturing, or construction industry experience.
  • Experience managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP).
  • Experience developing warehouse SOPs.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Experience supporting rack fabrication or electronics manufacturing operations.

Schedule & Work Environment

This position is fully onsite at the Ontario, California facility. Monday - Thursday 10hr shifts

This position is based on site at Crown's Ontario, California manufacturing and warehouse facility operating on a Monday through Thursday schedule. Work is performed in a warehouse and production environment requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, material handling, and operation of warehouse equipment.

Compensation

Hourly Rate Range: $27.00 - $42.00 per hour (W2)

Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.

Crown complies with all applicable state and local pay transparency laws. The listed compensation range represents the good faith salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, geographic considerations, and business needs.
