Our dynamic team values teamwork and excellence, and we are proud to partner with experienced professionals in the healthcare industry. We are currently expanding our team and looking for talented, multi-specialty sonographers to join us.
Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a qualified professional that is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a vital role by performing diagnostic ultrasounds. Your duties include performing routine pelvic and transvaginal scans for GYN/OB patients as well as possible multi-specialty services such as vascular and small parts studies, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if clinically appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies.
  • Selects appropriate imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate effectively with ordering physicians, other medical professionals, and administrative staff.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is desirable.
  • Florida driverโ€™s license
  • Personal automobile
  • Fluent in speaking English (Spanish preferred)
  • Active ARDMS, CPR, OSHA certification - (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, CCI)
  • 2-3 Year OB/GYN experience (Required)
  • Vascular and General / Abdomen experience (Preferred)
  • Echocardiogram experience (Preferred)
  • Small Parts (Breast/Thyroid/Scrotum) Experience - (Preferred)
  • CPR/BLS Certification (REQUIRED)

Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience: Prior work is experience required.
Other Information: Must be registered in ARDMS (AB, OBGYN, RVT, BR, or PS).
Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or possess a foreign diploma recognized by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Minimal travel between accounts will be required, expecting all travel to be conducted in a timely manner ensuring punctuality.
