Job description

Orlando, United States | Posted on 09/08/2026

TheAccount Manageris a pivotal role designed to bridge the gap between high-touch client service and active business development within a lean, three-person team. You will own the client relationship post-sale while proactively identifying and closing new business opportunities to drive company growth. Success is measured by your ability to retain existing accounts, sign new locations, and operate effectively in a high-growth, "unproven" environment.

Work Setup:Hybrid (Orlando/Tampa area preferred) |Employment Type:Full-time |Seniority:Mid-Level

Work Setup & Collaboration
  • Hybrid Schedule:Requires regular in-person collaboration in the Orlando or Tampa metro areas to build team cohesion.
  • High Travel:Expect25% to 50% overnight travel, primarily across the Southeast and East Coast.
  • Extreme Autonomy:You will operate without a CRM admin or support desk; you are responsible for your own workflow.
  • Direct Impact:Work closely with the founder to turn 60% concepts into 100% executed business strategies.
What You'll Do
  • Own the Relationship:Manage and grow client accounts after the initial sale to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Close New Business:Negotiate directly with plant managers to get new service agreements signed.
  • Drive Outreach:Initiate contact with prospects via cold calls, walk-ins, and lead lists to supplement set appointments.
  • Build Processes:Create the playbooks, documentation, and systems needed to scale our account management function.
  • Solve Problems:Take "half-baked" ideas and independently research and execute the final 40% of the solution.
  • Execute Travel:Manage your own travel logistics and represent the company on-site at client facilities.
  • Collaborate Daily:Participate in high-velocity syncs with the 3-person team to pivot strategies in real-time.
  • Maintain Accountability:Track your own performance metrics and location signings to hit aggressive growth targets.
Success Indicators
  • Location Signings:Meet or exceed monthly targets for new location agreements.
  • Retention Rate:Maintain high client retention through proactive communication and rapid problem resolution.
  • Process Maturity:Deliver functional workflows for client onboarding and account auditing within the first 6 months.
  • Revenue Growth:Achieve on-target earnings of $75,000–$85,000 through consistent performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:2+ years of experience owning client relationships post-sale in a B2B environment.
  • Sales Acumen:Proven comfort with "asking for the business" and closing contracts, not just servicing accounts.
  • Small Team Background:Direct experience working in a company with fewer than 50 employees.
  • Risk Tolerance:High comfort level with the ambiguity and pace of an early-stage, small-team environment.
  • Mobility:Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for regional travel.
  • Communication:Exceptional ability to engage strangers and build rapport quickly in diverse settings.
  • Availability:Genuinely able and willing to travel overnight up to 50% of the month.
Nice to Have
  • Local Presence:Currently based in the Orlando or Tampa, FL metropolitan area.
  • Incentive Experience:Previous success in roles with a significant performance-based or commission-only pay structure.
  • Self-Starter History:Background in an unproven or startup venture where you built your own tools.
About the Team/Environment

We are a high-velocity team of three people where every action has an immediate, visible impact on the business. Our environment lacks the safety nets of a large corporation—there are no pre-built playbooks or massive support teams—but we offer the autonomy to build your own path. We value high quality, direct communication, and the ability to figure things out on the fly as we scale.
