  • Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of NPTE content areas including musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiovascular and pulmonary, integumentary systems, non-systems including research, pharmacology, and professional practice, and examination and treatment techniques. Ability to explain clinical decision-making, evidence-based practice, and physical therapy management while preparing PT graduates for national licensure.

Guides students through interpreting patient presentations, selecting appropriate examination techniques, developing plan of care, applying therapeutic exercises, and understanding pharmacological interactions. Emphasizes clinical reasoning across body systems and connecting pathological conditions to appropriate physical therapy interventions.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with NPTE content blueprint and common challenges such as musculoskeletal system breadth, neurological rehabilitation complexity, and applying research evidence to clinical questions. Adapts instruction using NPTE practice examinations, system-based review materials, and clinical case analysis to support DPT graduates preparing for the National Physical Therapy Examination for licensure.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
