Job description

McAdams is a full-service land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics firm located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. Position Purpose
As McAdams' representative, you'll be responsible for handling land surveying projects. Your duties will include supervising and managing the daily operations of the survey staff, as well as building and nurturing relationships with both public and private clients to provide high-quality land surveying services. Your goal is to ensure successful project delivery while meeting established performance objectives.
Essential Functions + Responsibilities
  • Lead the land surveying team, provide resource management, resolve complex technical problems, coach, train, and mentor land surveying staff members, and work collaboratively with all team members on all aspects of project execution.
  • Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all project and work performed by group staff.
  • Promote a culture of safety among the survey staff members.
  • Develop proposals or contracts that ensure the contract scope is adequate for the project, provide the desired level of profitability, and ensure that the project schedule is viable.
  • Understand business initiatives and concerns of current and prospective clients to recognize and promote new opportunities and cross-sell other services provided by the firm.
  • Assist in the development of short-term and long-term strategic market sector plans.
  • Develop and foster client relations to perpetuate long term relationships.
  • Responsible for the profitable operation of the Tampa/Orlando surveying group.

Qualifications
  • Must be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Florida.
  • Bachelors in Geomatics preferred.
  • 2-5 years years of office/field experience in Land Surveying.
  • Highly motivated to develop and grow the land surveying sector within the region.
  • Show the ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering firm for many clients with differing project deliverables standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead a team of surveying professionals.
  • Demonstrate ability to independently manage and grow key client relationships.
  • Possess the technical abilities required to lead and advise the surveying project team through project execution and delivery.
