Subject Matter Expert | Painting: Contemporary Practices
Salary: $3,000 per course built
Location: Remote (USA)

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design and write an online course titled "Painting: Contemporary Practices," a studio course within Fine Arts. This course provides an overview of advanced skills and concepts in painting, exploring a variety of subject matter through the study of contemporary themes and the relationship between form and content.
As students begin to define their individual directions, they will take advantage of the creative integration of concepts coupled with material exploration. Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to demonstrate research skills and begin applying them to their individual processes and studio practice. RMCAD seeks an SME to design and write the course curriculum and ensure it is prepared for launch.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and fellow faculty members to develop an engaging and innovative course within a shared timeline
  • Design and write curriculum that mentors and supports students in their creative and technical endeavors, fostering an applied and experiential online learning environment
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of our Fine Arts program
Qualifications:
  • MFA or terminal degree in painting or a related studio discipline
  • Experience in course design and development processes for online delivery
  • Proven track record of successful experiential and applied approaches to student learning
  • Experience or knowledge of fine arts education at the college level, and proficiency in using learning management systems and online teaching tools to support instruction
