Overview

Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for an Entry Level Software Developer in Saint Paul, MN. As a recent or upcoming graduate, you will have opportunities to expand your skill set and expertise in full stack web development. Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of a project team on a variety of development projects
  • Work with team members and business partners to determine project requirements and enhancements based on business and user needs
  • Develop applications and creative solutions based on project requirements
  • Apply enhancements to existing solutions
  • Implement and support applications post deployment
  • Quickly evaluate bugs, and apply hot fixes to resolve issues
  • Research new and innovative development technologies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 0-2 years of related work experience or internship(s)
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
  • Experience with Microsoft ecosystem (Outlook, Teams)
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Full stack responsive web development (HTML, CSS, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and SQL)
  • Modern web development frameworks (Blazor, Angular, React, or Vue)
  • Experience using AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot)
  • Backend development including APIs, controllers, services, and data access (.NET)
  • Relational database design (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)

Office hours are 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Thursday and 7:30am - 11:30am Friday.

Salary Range: $85,000-95,000

Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
