JOB DESCRIPTION
The Food & Beverage Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts portfolio. This position develops and executes marketing strategies to enhance revenue, primarily for hotel outlets and, as needed, for Banquets & Catering (B&C). Its focus is on the creation and promotion of activations, influencer visits and events, digital and e-commerce awareness and advertising, both internally and externally, social media, restaurant reputation management, photography, and general marketing support. Creative thinking and experience with graphic design programs are important for assisting the hotels with collateral and other promotional needs. Flexibility in managing multiple tasks and the ability to adapt while working with various agencies are crucial.
The position's overall responsibility is to increase topline revenue by fulfilling promotional needs across all areas of Food & Beverage for the hotels while working closely with Directors of Sales and Food & Beverage leaders.
The role requires knowledge of digital, e-commerce, and marketing principles and practices within the hotel industry or a comparable industry, including website management, social media and advertising campaigns, search engine marketing, demand generation channels, and online reputation management.
Expertise is required in marketing applications such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and PowerPoint; online reputation management tools; and all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and others. Additional experience identifying and working with influencers and coordinating photo shoots is preferred.
This position reports to Corporate Marketing for overall performance management, career development, day-to-day responsibilities, and team collaboration. It also has a dotted-line reporting relationship with Corporate Food & Beverage, which provides guidance on priority projects and initiatives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create a social media content marketing plan for each Restaurant.
  • Capture original photography for restaurants, including food, interiors, events, and lifestyle content; candidates should be comfortable taking and editing their own photos and have a strong understanding of photography
  • Collaborate with restaurant social media champions and agency to ensure routine postings and timely updates. Create social media posts when needed.
  • Create collateral/menu designs, track and place digital ads, and update website content.
  • Conduct audits of restaurant information online (content, photography, directory listings).
  • Help plan and execute photography shoots (when needed).
  • Create a marketing plan to assist our restaurants with brand awareness, advertising, and public relations (covering stages from new restaurants to existing ones).
  • Join owner/management calls as needed for direction, expectations, and reporting.
  • Maintain a budget, broken down by restaurant, across various channels and spend.
  • Identify and leverage various channels to promote restaurants and maintain an active presence.
  • Assist in the branding process when needed.
  • Maintain and utilize a brand kit for restaurants in our graphic design tool (including logos, fonts, brand colors/style guides).
  • Optimize Yelp, OpenTable, and Google My Business listings.
  • Provide digital support for portfolio-wide initiatives and projects as needed, including audits and online presence evaluations.
  • A team-player attitude and a spirit of collaboration to support other departments and get things done when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-6 years of marketing experience within the hospitality, food & beverage, or restaurant industry, with a strong understanding of restaurant marketing
  • A college degree is required, preferably related to marketing or communications if relevant job experience is limited.
  • Training certificates from HSMAI or other industry related organizations and courses is a plus.
  • Hotel Management/Restaurant/Coursework preferred.
  • Academic comparable work or related volunteer experience a plus.
  • Must have restaurant operations experience

Compensation: Commensurate with Experience
Location: Nashville, TN (HM Alpha Nashville Yards Office)
