Riverbend Psychotherapy Services is looking for a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated team. Our hospice center setting provides a unique context for treatment, focusing on end-of-life care and emotional support for clients and their families.

• Conduct detailed client assessments to understand mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual or family.
• Provide therapeutic services through engaging virtual sessions for individuals, couples, and families, employing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based approaches.
• Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to deliver holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client’s well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using our secure electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in regular peer supervision and continuing education activities to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in clinical social work.
• Actively contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that support not only patients but also their families during challenging times.

In this role, you will primarily work with clients who are facing significant life transitions and challenges related to end-of-life care. This includes those receiving hospice services, their families, and grieving individuals needing support. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through complex emotional landscapes, helping them address grief, loss, and existential concerns associated with terminal illness.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.
• A minimum of three years of post-graduate clinical social work experience, particularly in mental health settings.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and ethical practices in social work.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients quickly.
• Proficient with digital communication tools and electronic health record systems.

While three years of experience is the baseline requirement, candidates with additional experience in hospice care, grief counseling, or telehealth services will be given preference. Familiarity with team-based care approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration will be advantageous.
