  • Perform routine budget Administration function.
  • Formulate and revise the annual budget estimates for support activities.
  • Recommend approval/disapproval on funding request.
  • Monitor and track obligations and expenditures.
  • Develop and reviews budget execution to insure compliance with existing laws and regulation.
  • Recommend transfer of funds.
  • Review obligation status monthly.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/ and or experiencerequirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: which includes Forecasting and compiling budget estimates and funding requests to ensure alignment with Special Operations Command program plans, training requirements, and force sustainment strategies. Analyzing large volumes of narrative and statistical financial data to evaluate the impact of personnel salary and expense changes on current and future-year program budgets and recommend actions for allotments. Administering diverse appropriated and revolving fund accounts (e.g., O&MA, DBOF, FMS, RTD&E) by applying HQ DA, Army, and SOCOM regulations to develop and interpret policies for fund control across the Regiment and satellite units.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
