Job description

Easton USD 449 is currently accepting applications for a School Nurse, LPN/R.N. for the 2026-2027 school year.  Applicants should hold or be eligible for valid Kansas license with the appropriate endorsement(s).   Duty hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. REPORTS TO:                                                  Principals
PAYMENT RATE:                                             Range of $33.00/hr to $40.00/hr based on qualifications
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:                              200 days from August through May
QUALIFICATIONS:
 Easton USD 449 is looking for a School Nurse candidate who shares our commitment to student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting.  A successful candidate will:











  1. Hold a current license to practice as an LPN/RN in the State of Kansas.
  2. Provide emergency first-aid and long-term medical support for students.
  3. Implement and monitor students' compliance with State immunization laws.
  4. Partner with families of students needing medical, dental, vision, or hearing health care.
  5. Maintain up-to-date cumulative health records for all students.
  6. Conduct health-related informational programs along with school staff.
  7. Advise on modifications of the educational program to meet health needs of individual students.
  8. Train staff members on emergency procedures and proper administration procedures for medication.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of student health and educational records.

  10. Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators and other school personnel.
     

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:        At Will
    EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated on an annual basis in accordance with provisions of Kansas Statutes and Board of Education Policy.
