Job description

About the Role Working within the Cougars Campus Store, this is a flexible position whose work schedule is variable and may include an irregular schedule of not less than three (3) hours per shift and up to thirty-five (35) hours per week. The Campus Store Services Assistant provides front-line customer service and operational support across multiple Commercial Operations service areas, including the Campus Store, Campus Card Office, online order fulfillment, and other customer-facing services. The position supports daily operations by assisting customers, processing transactions, preparing orders, issuing campus cards, and completing administrative tasks while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

The role is designed to provide operational flexibility and business continuity through cross-training across multiple service areas. Responsibilities Customer Service (35%) Provide professional, friendly customer service in person, by phone, and by email; Respond to customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member; Resolve routine customer concerns; Maintain confidentiality of customer information; and Support service counters during peak periods. Campus Store Operations (30%) Process sales through the point-of-sale system; Receive and stock merchandise; Pick, pack, and prepare online orders; Assist with shipping and customer pickups; Maintain store presentation; Assist with inventory counts; and Restock sales floor merchandise.

ONECard Services (20%) Capture and/or approve photographs; Verify identification; Produce and issue campus cards; Replace lost or damaged cards; Assist with basic account inquiries; Maintain card supplies and equipment; and Escalate complex technical issues. Administrative & Operational Support (10%) Support UPass distribution activities; File records and maintain documentation; Prepare reports or logs as assigned; Process locker rentals; and Maintain work areas. Other Duties (5%) Participate in cross-training.

Support special events. Assist other Commercial Operations departments during peak periods. Perform other related duties as assigned.
