Position Overview

Peace Marriage and Family Therapy Services is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our remote team. This full-time position focuses on providing therapeutic services to individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients to identify emotional and behavioral problems, followed by crisis intervention when needed.
  • Deliver therapeutic services including individual, family, and group therapy, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments to monitor client progress and identify any emerging issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with specific, measurable goals while ensuring regular follow-up and adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing insights to holistic treatment plans and participating in team meetings to enhance client care.
  • Engage clients in treatment, providing them with the tools and strategies necessary for recovery, improved mental health and relational stability.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is working with individuals and families facing substance abuse issues and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. You will interact with clients from various walks of life, each presenting unique challenges influenced by their backgrounds, relationships, and experiences. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these clients towards recovery and improved mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Current, active LMFT license.
  • A minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience providing therapy in a clinical setting, particularly within substance abuse and mental health.
  • Proficient clinical skills in psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic counseling.
  • Strong understanding of child and family development across different life stages.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, demonstrating time management and autonomy.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, DBT, or systemic family therapy.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
  • A proven track record of interdisciplinary collaboration, linking clients to additional resources as needed.
  • Skills in developing and leading group therapy sessions.
Compensation and Benefits
