Work schedule is Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-6pm
The ideal candidate for a New Accounts Teller will have the skills and experience necessary to:
  • Expand client base through successful selling and coaching techniques including lending applications, cross-selling of bank services and products and assisting clients in every area of banking.
  • Resolve client concerns through direct personal action, or by referring clients to an alternative bank department resource.
  • Identify and address clients' needs by providing a variety of banking services.
  • Ensure the branch provides quality service while protecting against loss.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of branch operations.
  • May supervise branch activities in the absence of, or in conjunction with branch management team.
  • Perform cash transactions and accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' experience in teller, new accounts, loan processing, consumer lending, sales or other directly related branch banking experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Ability to cross-sell and refer bank products based on clients' needs.
  • Solid mathematical, problem-solving and negotiation skills to support standard banking products, services and transactions including balancing.
  • Solid knowledge of all retail banking products and services.
  • Proven customer service, relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written with strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of consumer lending applications a plus.
