Famous Line Cook Opportunity

Do you want to be part of an Authentic, Award-Winning and Legendary BBQ Team? Do you want to develop the skills of a Famous Pit Master? At Famous Dave's all Team Members will learn about their role and our brand utilizing a smokin', modern on-line training program! We'll provide you the training to be Famous, all you need to do is bring a great attitude and a love of great BBQ! Want to be FAMOUS? Who we're looking for...

A team player who has the desire to learn about our in-house smoked, made from scratch recipes that wants to serve up Famous Food! Line Cooks ensure our Guests receive the Famous experience they expect from our food with each delicious bite. You'll also make sure that food safety standards are followed. Famous Dave's expects you to be punctual, to support your fellow Team Members when we are smokin' busy, and complete side duties that include but may not be limited to preparing food, monitor ticket times, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Experience:

  • Previous Line Cook or cooking experience preferred

Skills/Competencies/Certifications:

  • Ability to accurately read, interpret and prepare all food recipes within Famous Dave's guidelines
  • Ability to prepare and present menu items within cook time requirements
  • Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Must be able to read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions
  • Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, smokers, ovens, stoves, and dishwashers
