Appointment is contingent on class enrollment for each class, each semester. JOUR 210 - Multimedia Journalism - Spring 2026 - in-person or online For JOUR 210, students learn basic photography, audio and video production skills, and produce multimedia projects following the tenets and ethical practices of journalism

We have multiple podcast studios, a multimedia/video studio, and industry-level photo/audio/video equipment for students to use in their reporting. The candidate(s) would design their own syllabi and train students in use of necessary technology, and teach courses with both lecture and lab hours. The journalism/radio department can offer support in terms of curriculum development and tech support.

Instructors will get access to the Adobe Creative Suite and Fullerton College library resources, as well as the option for paid office hours. Those who teach at least 6 units per semester (approximately two classes) have access to health insurance under the current adjunct faculty bargaining contract. Primary Purpose: PRIMARY PURPOSE Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive.

The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area

OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. Commitment to diversity.

Working Conditions: Salary Range: $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 - $1380.60 per lab unit rate Open Date: 04/24/2026 Close Date: 04/23/2027 Special Instructions Summary: SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified. This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis
