Description

Join the SAIC team as a Financial Intel Analyst with in-depth expertise in financial intelligence and cryptocurrency for projects supporting national security objectives. While supporting a team of diverse analytical and technical team members, this financial intelligence analyst will serve as a subject matter expert and will collaborate with partners across the intelligence community. Duties performed in an office setting, with travel required throughout the DC-metro area and occasional travel CONUS and OCONUS.

Daily duties may include:

  • Use of all-source intelligence systems and tools.
  • Demonstrated use of strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Mapping illicit networks.
  • Analyzing adversary tactics.
  • Using cryptocurrency operational knowledge, support, and hands-on experience.
  • Producing and disseminating actionable intelligence reports and briefings on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and money laundering typologies within cryptocurrency arena.
  • Managing and using cryptocurrency and other financial mechanisms while applying and managing best practices for analytical projects.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of on-chain and off-chain data to map and expose illicit financial networks and cryptocurrency transactions, attributing activity to entities of interest.
  • Maintaining best practices for digital and financial identity management and operational security in support of national security objectives. 

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Top-Secret SCI clearance; and pass a CI polygraph (PR within 5 years).
  • Experience working within the US intelligence community, military, and/or law enforcement organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical and/or financial related field and 6+ years of specialized technical targeting experience using financial intelligence or
  • 6+ years of specialized technical targeting and cryptocurrency experience with appropriate military and civilian training within this discipline area.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing current analytical and financial tools.
  • Experience using Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) tools and techniques to include use of misattributed systems.
  • Experience conducting online financial investigations in and outside the U.S.
  • Experience creating written reports that demonstrate accurate and succinct writing skills highlighting key findings and an overview of processes used to perform collection and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of military operations, terminology, and structure.
  • Answer high-priority, time-sensitive customer requirements demanding critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.                                                                                                                                                      

Desired Education, Certifications, Skills, Expertise, Years of Experience:

  • Formal coursework or instruction in All Source Intelligence techniques, technologies, tools, and trends with specialization in financial intelligence.
  • Awareness and experience in CI/HUMINT operations.
  • Formal certifications, coursework or instruction in analytical and financial intelligence technologies, tools, trends and mitigation techniques from military, intelligence community, and/or law enforcement organizations.
  • Completion of an accredited military or intelligence targeting officer pipeline.
  • 6+ years of specialized technical targeting experience providing direct financial and cryptocurrency analysis support to CI/HUMINT operations.  
  • Experience develop and providing written technical threat assessments; preparing tailored reports based on customer requirements, providing briefings to educate and train personnel, and assisting in the development of operational frameworks and structured guidance to safeguard sensitive activities.
