Job Summary
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
• Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate
• Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy
• Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
• Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) Modules 100, 200, and 700 preferred but must be completed prior to the end of departmental orientation. Haz Mat Operations regarded favorably. Previous experience in emergency vehicle operations is preferred. Currently Attending Paramedic School Preferred

Education
  • Completion of EMT Basic Program or EMT Intermediate Program. Minimum requirement is completion of requirements for licensure recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Health in accordance with EMS regulations. Preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC
  • Must be at least 21 years of age in order to be insured by NRH carrier. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license. Must remain insurable by the NRHS/EMSStat vehicle insurance company by maintaining a good driving record and meeting any other requirement as set forth in the policy. Current Oklahoma license as a Basic or Intermediate (Advanced) EMT. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
