Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must reside in the state of Ohio.
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in manufacturing engineering, electromechanical engineering, electronic engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field; OR a bachelor's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline.
  • In some cases, an associate degree combined with relevant work experience, professional licensure/certifications, or demonstrated competencies may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish positive working relationships with students, colleagues, and staff.
  • Willingness to utilize various instructional methods, including email and online learning management systems.
  • Commitment to student success, engagement, and empowerment in their learning journey.
  • Alignment with COTC's mission, values, and objectives.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in an engineering-related field or education.
  • Previous teaching experience, curriculum development, and assessment experience.
  • For Advanced Manufacturing Technology courses:
    • Working knowledge of manual and CNC machinery, precision assembly, and multi-craft maintenance.
    • Prior experience in manufacturing.
