Very broadly the team works on analytics around prospect data. How new prospects can be reached with offers, etc. 
Client buys data from 3rd parties, join it with internal data and use that to reach prospects through various channels(online, email, phone, Mail). 
Requirements: 
Expert programming competence in language Java 
Experience with Hadoop/HDFS/MapReduce 
Experience with HBase/NoSQL or similar technology is plus 
Excellent problem solving and communication skills and thrives in a highly collaborative and dynamic work environment
