Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time Physical Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The candidate will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in grades k- 8. S/he will begin in August and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in physical education or related field required.
  • Florida Department of Education Certification in Physical Education preferred.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Ability to teach all levels of physical education.
  • Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches and students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong instructional strategies.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with iPad Applications and other online educational applications with a willingness to work with such technology.
  • Excellent oral and written English; effective communication skills.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
  • Professional demeanor.
