Support Technician Level 1

SurfThing in Annandale Minnesota, is a fast-growing leader in golf simulator technology with a culture that values honesty, transparency, and resultsโ€”while keeping things fun.
Hourly Pay: $23.00โ€“$27.00
Schedule:
Mondayโ€“Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with three available 8-hour shift options.
On-Call Rotation:
Rotating weekend on-call schedule with overtime pay provided for on-call coverage.

Technical Support Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and networking issuesย 
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devicesย 
  • Provide remote and phone-based technical support to customers and partnersย 
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting steps and clearly communicate technical solutionsย 
  • Manage and prioritize multiple support tickets in a fast-paced environmentย 
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support procedures accuratelyย 
  • Support deployment and roll-out of new applications and system updatesย 
  • Test and evaluate new technologies, hardware, and software solutionsย 
  • Set up and configure Golf Simulators and related software for partners and customersย 
  • Diagnose and test returned Golf Simulators to determine repair or replacement next stepsย 
  • Escalate unresolved or advanced technical issues to higher-level IT staff when necessaryย 
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issues are fully resolved and provide a positive support experienceย 
Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical support, help desk support, desktop support, PC repair, or a related technical roleย 
  • Experience using remote desktop tools and help desk ticketing systemsย 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with attention to detailย 
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking conceptsย 
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical usersย 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyย 
  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly in a hands-on environmentย 
  • Experience with PC hardware, gaming systems, simulators, AV equipment, or consumer electronics is a plus
