FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Public Speaking Adjunct Instructor. Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. The university is located in the town of Fort Valley in Peach County, the original site of the state's peach industry. Applications are kept in the pool through the duration of the academic school year. The Arts and Communications Department is seeking applicants for an Adjunct Instructor. This position will include teaching in-person, hybrid, and online public speaking courses, as needed by the department. Adjunct faculty provide instruction for 15-week courses (Fall, Spring) and/or 8-week courses (Summer). There is no guarantee of continued employment beyond the semester course assignment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to student success, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students. They will demonstrate flexibility in meeting the instructional and general responsibilities of their course assignment, including the effective use of diverse learning resources and technologies.
