Description

Summary:A part-time, temporary adjunct position to develop an online course that allows you to integrate a Christian worldview with expertise in your discipline. We are not hiring for Bible courses at this time.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop an online course in the teaching discipline of expertise
  • Collaborate effectively with an instructional designer to create an excellent student experience
  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of online teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives
  • Develop curriculum including the evaluation and recommendation of student textbooks and other learning materials
  • Demonstrate competence in integrating technology in the online setting
  • Use best practices to create authentic assessments that accurately and effectively measure attainment of student outcomes
  • Learn and apply technologies that support online student learning

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Master's degree with (18) graduate hours in teaching discipline is required; terminal degree preferred; certification in area of course development preferred
  • Five years of work experience in the areas of online course development
  • Official transcript required for employment and written proof of certification in area of expertise
  • Effective in oral and written communication in the online setting
  • Demonstrate organizational abilities in online course development
  • Possess and communicate a Biblical worldview and integrate biblical principles into online course subject matter
