Hourly Pay Rate: $16.12/hour
Hours vary by location, ranging from 8 to 14 hours per week.
Tutoring sessions may include an hour in the morning and/or two hours after school plus prep time.
This postion is grant funded.

Job Summary:
The Math Tutor for the after-school program, Elevate, provides targeted academic support to small groups of students, reinforcing math skills from during the day classroom instruction. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing small group rotations for tutoring, ensuring instruction aligns with Colorado's High Impact Tutoring Program. The tutor will collaborate with the Site Coordinator to use curriculum-aligned resources and reinforce in-class learning. By addressing individual student needs, the tutor fosters a positive learning environment. Additional duties include providing supervision before tutoring sessions, monitoring attendance, and reporting student progress to teachers and the after-school Site Coordinator.
Tutors will be expected to perform the following tasks:
  • Conduct small group or individual activities with students to reinforce Math curriculum.
  • Supervise student's math rotation activities and assignments, tutor and provide assistance as needed.
  • Assist with after-school snacks and supervising before Math Tutoring
  • Assist in preparing instructional materials and math activities, monitoring student work and progress student work, and reporting progress to after school site coordinator.
  • Maintain student attendance records for reporting purposes.
  • Support classroom teachers with Essential Skills Observation
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience. Child development, Mathematics, or English language experience preferred.
  • Basic math, writing, communication, and accounting skills.
  • Basic keyboard/computer skills. Knowledge of word processing software.
  • Ability to file and maintain accurate record-keeping system.
  • Ability to work with children and children with special needs.
  • CPR and First Aid preferred.
  • Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
