Job Summary:
The Teaching Learning Center (TLC) works with various departments at CCD to make online learning possible. This includes the certification and development of instructors, making courses more accessible to all students, and helping students/instructors with D2L issues.
The work study will help in accomplishing all tasks the TLC tackles daily, with an emphasis on helping with D2L troubleshooting and other tasks from the department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Managing the front desk/customer service
- Providing Tier I technical support
- Data Entry
- Video production
- Video Caption Editing
- Produce various instructional materials Microsoft Office365 and 2019
- Other tasks as assigned
Competencies/KSAs:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
Knowledge of handling D2L online platform
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer service skills
Problem-solving skills
Ability to pay close attention and attention to detail
Ability to use office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to assist students and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
Ability to learn new software and office procedures quickly

Minimum Qualifications:
A successful candidate for this position will be reliable and punctual. They will have a desire to work in a professional environment grounded in mutual respect and teamwork. A functioning knowledge of the Microsoft office suit would be helpful, and additional skills can be trained. Optimally, candidates will have an interest in a career in business management, educational technology or higher education operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous customer service or office assistant experience
Experience with data entry
Experience working in an educational or academic support environment
Experience working with computer technology support
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
