What services does Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East Provide?
We are dedicated in making a genuine difference in the lives of seniors, non-seniors and their families by helping with smooth and stress-free transitions from one living situation to another. We specialize in organizing, downsizing, space planning, move-management and relocating Seniors to new beginnings.
Through CTBids, our online estate sales platform, we help answer the question, "What to do with my treasured belongings when I no longer have space from them?". We help liquidate these belongings, turning these treasures into profit to help support their transition.

Work Locations: Virginia Beach, Pungo, Alanton, Norfolk and surrounding areas (different location for each job)
What You'll be Doing: Work on a Team at the client's home to pack, unpack, relocate and resettle the client and assist with estate liquidation of collected treasures and times no longer needed (CTBids)
  • Working at the client's home:
    • Organize, pack, and assist clients with unpacking and resettling in their new living space, i.e., organizing belongings, hanging pictures, placement of items
    • Sort items for estate liquidation: selling, recycling, donations, disposal and clean-outs
    • Physical capability to stand for long periods, repetitive bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, no lifting over 30 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes. Carry supplies, items and moving boxes within the home or building.
    • Note: We are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and heavy items.
    • Comfortable working in cluttered and/or dirty environments at times (houses may have been empty over a period of time). We provide work gloves, aprons, etc.
    • Get in steps and strength-training while you work!
  • Online auction preparation (CTBids)
    • Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for re-sale
    • Understand the value of people's 'treasures'
    • Use smart device to photograph, create descriptions and post items for sale
    • Be available for on-site auction pick-ups. Help prep, stage, and assist buyers during pickup days
    • Help ship items purchased through online auctions
  • Follow best practices, health and safety requirements and company guidelines.
  • Interact with clients, their families, customers, and coworkers while providing a high level of customer service to clients and customers.

  • Experience: No specific experience required, but working with older adults, in customer service, or care-related roles is a plus
Must-Haves:
  • Multiple Skills: Complete various tasks with the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to new situations, effectively problem solve and work productively with your team.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and English fluency
  • Proficient with smartphones and apps: Most of the communication will be conducted through these mediums for scheduling hours, time-keeping, project management and online auctions
  • Age 18, Valid Driver's License, and reliable transportation to be able to meet on the various job site locations throughout Virginia Beach, Alanton, Pungo, Norfolk and surrounding areas. Must be punctual.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and be prepared to start training immediately upon hiring

Position Details:
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Pay: $14 starting pay; evaluation after 90 days
  • Benefits: Flexible schedule. We respect your time, offering you a flexible schedule that fits your busy lifestyle
  • Schedule: Work daytime hours, Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • Work hours: 4-6 hour shifts; Project-based and may be 10-30+ hours per week with other weeks having zero or minimal hours.
  • Availability: Must be available for CTBids online auction pickups.
  • Variety: No two client jobs are exactly alike
