Description
The School of Business at St. Bonaventure University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Accounting. We welcome candidates with teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and/or accounting theory. Consideration will be given to candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor positions.
Required Qualifications
Assistant Professor
  • Ph.D., from an AACSB accredited institution in the field of accounting at the time of hire, along with extensive industry experience
  • Qualify as Scholarly Academic (SA) by institutional AACSB standards
  • Evidence of ability to produce original and innovative scholarly research
  • Candidate must be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, both face to face and online

Associate Professor
In addition to the required qualifications for Assistant:
  • 3-5 years teaching /research experience in an AACSB recognized University
  • Candidates should have an active research program demonstrating capacity for high level research and have an excellent record of classroom instruction
  • Ability to effectively teach financial accounting, accounting theory

Preferred Qualifications
  • An active CPA license with experience in public or private accounting
  • 10+ combined years of service in academics and/or public accounting
  • Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary educational setting
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Online teaching experience
  • Candidates should demonstrate interest or willingness in teaching financial accounting, accounting theory and graduate-level accounting coursework will be viewed favorably.

Salary Ranges by Rank:
Assistant $120,000 - $130,000
Associate $130,000 - $140,000
