Art Instructor - Independent Contractor
La Posada Green Valley | Green Valley, Arizona

La Posada Green Valley is seeking a passionate, dependable, and engaging Art Instructor to lead art classes for interested residents on our Green Valley, Arizona campus.
This is an Independent Contractor position and an exciting opportunity to share your artistic talents while inspiring residents to explore their creativity. The Art Instructor will provide weekly instruction and coaching through projects in a variety of artistic mediums and skill levels.
Days and times are to be determined.
Art Instructor Responsibilities
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula for a variety of skill levels and artistic mediums.
  • Provide instruction, guidance, and encouragement through weekly art projects.
  • Maintain class communication with residents through email group(s).
  • Coordinate with residents and Lifestyles staff regarding supplies, materials, and copies needed for classes.
  • Collaborate with residents and staff to display resident artwork for our bi-monthly Art Exhibitions.
  • Maintain the Art Class Bulletin Board to showcase resident artwork.

Art Instructor Qualifications
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree, associate degree, certificate, or other formal training in Fine Arts, Art Education, Studio Art, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple visual art disciplines and mediums.
  • At least two years of experience creating, teaching, facilitating, or coaching in the arts.
  • Preferred: Experience teaching or facilitating art activities with older adults.
  • Dependable, enthusiastic, patient, and comfortable working with individuals with varying levels of artistic experience.
