Job description


Matrix Home Care is seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for a private duty nursing case in Lauderhill, Florida.
Location: Lauderhill, FL
Position Type: Private Duty Nursing / Home Care
Schedule: Three days per week
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
Position Overview
This is a one-on-one home care opportunity providing skilled nursing care during 12-hour day shifts. The nurse must be comfortable working independently in the home environment and have current hands-on experience with tracheostomy and G-tube care.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in the patient's home
  • Perform routine tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Monitor respiratory status and recognize changes in condition
  • Provide G-tube care, feedings, hydration, and medication administration
  • Monitor vital signs and complete ongoing patient assessments
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Follow the established plan of care
  • Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Communicate changes in the patient's condition to the clinical team and family
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable care environment

Qualified Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses with tracheostomy and G-tube experience are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
  • Active and unrestricted Florida RN or LPN license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Current hands-on tracheostomy and G-tube experience
  • Private duty nursing or home care experience preferred
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently in a home setting
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week
  • Completion of all required onboarding and employment documentation
