B Shift - Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 pm to 8:00 am

Starting pay $19.75/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium

SUMMARY

The feather Process operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing the raw feathers to a finished product.. Operates straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage processing areas, to feed cookers, hoppers, or chutes. The following duties are as follows.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Hydrolyzing raw feathers.

Drying the raw feathers.

Sizing.

Running the Machinery that processes the cooked feathers into make feather meal.

Transferring of hydrolyzed feather meal to storage.

Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader.

Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material.

Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle at work site, and moves levers to dump material.

Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.

Fills Feather Cooker's and tightens the domes to ensure the materials cooks correctly.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have 3 months of work history with one employer within the last 2 years listed on application.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

State Driver License needed to obtain an industrial truck license (PIT).

Sunday is a scheduled plant shut down for Maintenance, housekeeping, and Training.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
