Job description

Overview

We’re seeking an Electrical Engineering Advisor who can assist part time with robotic system level electrical designs and PCB designs. This role will involve working closely with our full-time electrical engineering team along with designing and testing electrical sub-systems. This position will be mostly remote and hours will be flexible.

Company Description

Feather Robotics, a VC-backed startup, is assembling a world-class team to build general-purpose robots. While competitors pursue end-to-end integration, Feather is relentlessly focused on creating the best labor platform, akin to Apple and Nvidia, for others to build, monetize, and scale on.

Feather blends cutting-edge robotics and AI with speed, capital efficiency, and go-to-market innovation. In under six months, Feather became one of the fastest humanoid companies to revenue and production (vs 31 months for Figure).

Responsibilities:

  • Power distribution, charging, and monitoring electrical design.
  • Wire routing design and wire bend and fatigue analysis.
  • Work with vendors to source proper components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical (or equivalent).
  • PCB design experience.
  • Wire harness design experience for motion joints.
  • Understanding of electronics packaging.
  • Understanding of battery design and management.
  • Experience at a robotics firm is a plus.
  • Past experience working with vendors and suppliers for electrical components.
