Job description

Principal Product Manager

Expert role responsible for leading strategic product initiatives across multiple domains. Expected to drive product strategy, manage complex roadmaps, and influence cross-functional teams without direction and guidance of the department head. Typically requires 10+ years of product management experience. We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless to race, color, religion, sex, nationality, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other status protected by law.

Join Our Team and Make a Difference! Are you looking for an impactful role where you finish the workday knowing you helped someone? Whether you are part of our care coordination team or play a supporting role, the work our colleagues do every day enables us to collectively reach our mission of getting people the care they need when they need it. By staying committed to our core values of Think Big, Go Fast, Deliver Awe, Win Together and Care Deeply, we can positively impact the lives of the injured workers we serve and get them back to the things that matter most in life.

Salary Range: This compensation range considers a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is not adjusted for geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

What We Provide in Return for Your Commitment to Our Mission We offer a vast array of benefits to help support the whole you, including:

  • Remote Work: We are a remote-first company, and almost all positions receive the flexibility of working from home.
  • Generous Time Off: Besides 8 company holidays and 2 personal days every year, all colleagues receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Including medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance; 401(k) matching program; and company-paid life insurance and short and long-term disability coverage.
  • Supportive Services: Just like our colleagues get injured workers the care they need when they need it, we want to do the same for our colleagues in their time of need. We offer a Colleague Assistance Program that provides free counseling and financial services, and our One Call Foundation, a non-profit arm of our company, provides colleagues financial assistance during times of unexpected hardships.

The Principal Product Manager is a senior product leadership role accountable for driving multi-vertical platform strategy at One Call and translating it into measurable enterprise value. This role owns a portfolio that spans multiple lines of business (e.g., Physical Therapy, Diagnostics, Home Health) and unifies them under a cohesive vision for critical customer and operational journeys. The Principal Product Manager leads through influence and direct / indirect leadership of Senior/Staff/Associate PMs, partnering with Engineering, Design, Operations, Data/Analytics, and Commercial functions to deliver scalable automation, integration, and market expansion. Success is defined by accelerated revenue growth, substantial efficiency gains via elimination of manual entry across front- and back-office workflows, and diversification into adjacent verticals-prioritizing viability and time-to-impact. Principal Product Managers are expected to lead product initiatives from ideation, story creation, delivery, launch and iteration, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and time to impact. They work closely with engineering, design, operations, and other stakeholders, to understand the business processes, underlying technologies and business objectives in order to build products that are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with company goals. This role requires a strong mix of strategic thinking, user empathy, technical fluency, and excellence.

  • Prioritize Features and Roadmap: Create and maintain product roadmaps that balance customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact; partner with other Product Managers to offer subject matter expertise to inform their roadmaps.
  • Write Clear Requirements: Translate business and user needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Delivery & Communications: Own the delivery of the features / initiative on the roadmap, escalating issues and blockers that arise during development, driving updates and expectations management with stakeholders and participating / leading the ceremonies as part of our product development life cycle.
  • Monitor Performance Metrics: Track impact / ROI by defining KPIs to evaluate product success and inform future decisions.
  • Partner on Go-to-Market Strategy: Work with marketing and sales to develop launch plans that resonate with target users and drive adoption.
  • Manage Product Lifecycle: Oversee products from ideation through development, launch, growth, and eventual sunset if needed.
  • Champion the User Experience: Advocate for intuitive, delightful, and accessible product experiences by partnering with user experience, conducting user research & surveys and driving rapid prototyping feedback sessions with the people using your products.
  • Adapt and Iterate: Continuously refine products based on feedback, performance data, and market trends to stay competitive.
  • Leadership: You may also lead or partner with other Product Managers if the scope of the role and/or product area warrant it.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
