1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:The Wholesale Payments Onboarding Project Manager I is directly responsible and accountable for coordinating and leading mid- to large-sized and moderately complex implementations from initiation through completion. Their overarching goal is to provide a best-in-class client experience, enabling Truist to achieve our vision and improve revenue realization.
The Wholesale Payments Onboarding Project Manager I applies high-level knowledge of project management disciplines, along with technical and product knowledge related to Wholesale Payments solutions, to plan, monitor, and manage client implementations. Work requires the ability to execute on project management tasks plus a detailed understanding of complex Wholesale Payment solutions, business segments, industry verticals, and Truist overall. This role is recognized as an expert within the organization and as someone who can solve complex problems.
The Wholesale Payments Onboarding Project Manager I understands the technical and business process steps, roles of key partners and stakeholders, and has the oversight to manage the client and teammates through complex implementations to ensure timely and accurate implementations. They will have excellent communication, documentation, project management and organization skills. This role partners with the Wholesale Payments Advisor to drive best-in-class client experiences. Work is generally independent and self-directed, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Leads or coordinates project planning activities for mid-sized, less-complex clients, prospects, accounts, projects, or internal relationships.
2. Provides direct communication and interaction with clients and other personnel regarding all aspects of implementation efforts.
3. Routinely uses significant judgement on moderate to complex business problems.
4. Defines problems and scope parameters, organizes project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and milestones, identifies structures of authority and processes for decision making, and determines resource requirements.
5. Understands and articulates the expectations for the project deliverable/s and ensures shared
understanding within the team and client.
6. Establishes and maintains relationships with all stakeholders and manages resources throughout the entire project.
7. Demonstrates experienced understanding of business line and a basic understanding of the overall firm.
8. Meets sometimes less-clearly defined demands and influences junior colleagues.
9. Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
10. Reports on the status of projects including milestones, deliverables, and plan to all project team members including the client and the client's deal/coverage team.
11. Troubleshoots and manages activities to ensure adherence to internal and external
quality standards.
12. Performs risk management to minimize project risks.
13. Influences timelines, expectations, and proactively negotiates across departments and sometimes functional management.
14. Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and client impact.
15. Creates and maintains project documentation.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Five or more years progressive related experience in either a consulting, project management or process improvement related role.
3. Strong level understanding of project management framework and methodologies.
4. Expert-level verbal and written client communication skills including the ability to be proactive and adapt messaging based on the audience.
5. Ability to manage and negotiate with clients and vendor and alliance relationships.
6. Proven leadership in the implementation of complex projects, issue resolution, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
7. The ability to communicate with and influence others, conduct difficult negotiations and manage to stringent timelines for project deliverables.
8. Strong risk management skills.
9. Demonstrated advanced understanding of business, resources, priorities, needs and policies.
10. Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and bring clarity to ambiguous assignments.
11. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, delegate and problem-solve.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certification in either Project Management Professional (PMP) or Treasury Management Professional certification (CTP)
2. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement, facilitation, and project management methodologies.
3. Experience in Wholesale Solutions or cash management environment
