This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.

Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Equipment Operator at our Montgomery County Oaks Landfill, located in Derwood, MD. This position's primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating equipment while picking up and delivering recycling carts, and picking up and hauling residential and commercial solid waste throughout Montgomery County.

Estimated Pay Range:

$45,666.23 - $62,791.65

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus one year of experience operating heavy equipment. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

Candidate must possess a DOT card or be able to pass a DOT physical. Must demonstrate working knowledge of the essential maintenance checks. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred qualifications include: Knowledge of Montgomery County, previous driver/delivery experience. The ability to manipulate bins/carts of various sizes as well as experience interacting with the public. Ability to use technology such as GPS phone applications, email and Microsoft Suite programs.

This position will be open until filled.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
