Location : Wixom, MI

Salary : $150,000 โ€” $170,000

Bonus : Up to 10%

As a member of Semiconductor Robot Engineering team, the Robotic Application Engineer leads the activity of developing, testing and maintaining robotic products for semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities Include
  • Respond to customer's request on semiconductor robot application.
  • Lead the activity of prototype design projects following project process. Provide guidance to mechanical design team, electrical team, software team and prototype team to complete robot application within committed timeline.
  • Create CAD drawings, 3D models and engineering documents to meet customer's expectations.
  • Provide technical guidance on robot system issues.
  • Provide field support on customer's site, including domestic or oversea travels.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 year college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of application experience in automation or semiconductor industry related to vacuum environment equipment.
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of automation system, including the theory of operation, key components, major failure mode.
  • Knowledge of basic programming logic.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills โ€“ ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts in form of presentation.
  • Be able to understand and implement new engineering concept in short period of time.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks/projects during same period of time.
  • Knowledge of MS office (word, excel, power point).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using AutoCAD software.
  • Experience using NX software.
  • Experience with vacuum environment robot.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to carry, lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 25lbs and to bend, walk and stand with objects weighing up to 25Ibs.
  • Ability to use common mechanical tools such as screw drivers, hex keys, torque wrenches.
