About the Role:

On Cue Hire is seeking an Associate Producer to join a live television news program based in Midtown Manhattan. This role supports daily editorial production and live broadcast execution within a fast-paced newsroom environment.


The ideal candidate has experience producing live television, strong editorial instincts, and the ability to develop compelling content using multiple editorial sources. You'll work closely with senior producers, correspondents, anchors, and control room teams to help deliver high-quality live broadcasts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop element-driven monologues and segments using multiple editorial sources.
  • Produce correspondent and guest segments from concept through live broadcast.
  • Build show elements, including video, graphics, and supporting editorial content.
  • Write scripts, banners, and other on-air copy with strong editorial accuracy.
  • Line produce live broadcasts using ENPS or comparable newsroom systems.
  • Manage rundowns and maintain accurate segment timing during live production.
  • Support live control room execution and collaborate with production and editorial teams.
  • Coordinate with anchors, editors, and graphics teams to ensure seamless broadcasts.
  • Contribute story ideas, research, and editorial support for daily programming.

Qualifications:

  • Experience producing live television news broadcasts.
  • Previous control room and line producing experience.
  • Proficiency with ENPS or a comparable newsroom computer system.
  • Strong editorial judgment, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, professional approach with strong communication skills.
